Miguel Gaspar, General Manager Energy & Utilities and Natural Resources, EMEA North, SAP

Miguel holds a degree in Engineering and an MBA. He has worked in the IT Industry since 1993. Since his start at SAP in 1997, Miguel participated in different implementation projects at key Utility Companies in Europe. Miguel is, since 2005, Industry Director at the Industry Business Solutions Team in SAP EMEA with responsibilities of Business Development across the entire region of Europe Middle East, Africa. Since 2011 is the SAP lead for Utilities in the EMEA region. In 2017 Miguel became the General Manager for the entire Energy and Natural Resources sector in EMEA North with end to end business responsibility of 4 industry sectors: Utilities, Oil&Gas, Chemicals and Mills and Mining.

Miguel is an active contributor to different working groups in Europe that are shaping the future of Utilities Industry, in particular to the ETP SmartGrids  ( and to ESMIG – European Smart Metering Industry Group ( where he drives focused initiatives. Also invited speaker in many international conferences, in particular across Europe, Middle East and Africa. In 2017 on behalf of ESMIG, Miguel is member of the Editorial Group of the Smart Grids Task Force for Electricity and Gas Data Format Procedures under the European Commission.

Axel Memminger, Senior Product Manager, SAP

Axel Memminger is a Senior Product Manager within the Products & Innovation organization, focusing specifically on the utilities industry. He has held various roles within the SAP for Utilities area for more than 20 years. He is currently focusing on driving the Utilities Cloud strategy.

Holger Schweinfurth, Chief Solution Expert, SAP

Holger Schweinfurth works as a Chief Solution Expert within the Industry Business Utilities at SAP SE. In this capacity, he guides global insights into utilities’ market trends and opportunities with a specific focus on any cross topic, but also on energy data management, deregulation and smart grid / smart metering.  Holger has spent most of his working career on international projects and solution management assignments within the technology industry.  He graduated from the Universities of Heidelberg and Leeds (UK) with a master degree in Economics and International Business Management.
