At these half-day ‘jump-start’ workshops, you will review functionalities, dive deeper into topics, get practical examples, take part in discussions, go through online demonstrations, and determine the business benefits of each application. Workshop 2: Digital Shared Services with SAP S/4HANA® Finance (09:00-12:30)

Turn your finance operations and closing cycles into best-in-class global business services with the SAP S/4HANA® Finance solution and technology enablers from SAP.

This workshop provides you with an overview of how you can manage finance operations and closing related processes in a best-in-class global business service organization. Based on vivid examples, you'll get a chance to understand the value of the SAP S/4HANA Finance solution and related solutions from the shared-services perspective. Areas of focus are:

Robin Bau, Director Shared Services Automation, Finance Solutions, SAP

Robin joined SAP in 2008 and has many years of international project experience. He was responsible for the successful implementation of some of the largest SAP Shared Service Projects in the areas of Finance, Procurement, Facility and HR. Robin brings along a profound knowledge of SAP Finance solutions combined with implementation experience and in-depth customer-knowledge. Since 2016, Robin is Solution Owner of the Shared Service Framework.


Christoph Ernst, Senior Director - Finance Solutions, SAP

Christoph Ernst is the global Solution Owner for SAP’s Accounting and Financial Close Solutions, based out of Walldorf, Germany. In this role he is responsible for the solution strategy of SAP Accounting in SAP S/4HANA and all related solutions which help to digitize and transform the finance function. For 15 years he was with SAP Deutschland in different customer-facing roles, shaping the Germany Presales and Business Development for LoB Finance. Before joining SAP in 1999, Christoph worked for SIEMENS AG.


Workshop 3: How to Design SAP® Shared Service Framework Software for Shared-Services Operations (09:00-12:30)

This workshop offers participants an overview of the groundwork and prerequisites necessary for implementing SAP® Shared Service Framework software. Using the example of a typical financial accounting organization, we explore these prerequisites and conditions, and discuss the actual experiences of workshop participants and SAP customers. By using real-world case studies of SAP customers, this interactive workshop gives you an in-depth understanding of the possible variations in design and implementation of SAP Shared Service Framework.

Rainer Schwarz, SAP

Rainer Schwarz is part of the SAP consulting organization based in Walldorf, Germany. He is focused on the implementation of Shared Service solutions, specially the solution Shared Service Framework in the area of Finance and HR since 2004. He is involved in multiple international Shared Service projects in a role as project manager or solution architect . Rainer joins SAP in 1999 and during this time he was engaged in international projects with large customers in Germany, Europe, US and China.



Jonas Kassau, SAP

Jonas Kassau is part of the SAP consulting organization focused on the execution of Shared Service projects in the Finance and HR area, based in Walldorf, Germany. In this role he is involved in Shared Service projects responsible both for design and implementation. Jonas has been with SAP for six years, and during this time he’s been engaged in multiple international projects within this area.
